Laura Manuel (aka Mama Tortoise) is the mother of two young girls. She has recently left her communications job to venture into freelance writing.
When she is not playing with her daughters or writing, Laura enjoys perfecting her bread recipe, reading non-fiction (although she is trying to read more fiction), and gardening. She is also a part-time graduate student interested in the topic of gender, work, and how we organize. Laura lives with her family in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
